Starbucks Workers Tipped Off

And in a follow up to last week's story about Starbuck's plans to bounce back from their plummeting stock...another D'oh!

At the AGM, Starbucks announced they would be putting fancy new cappucino machines that are shorter and let you see your friendly barista making your beverage. This was just one of several plans to help the company become re-engaged with its customers, who have been turning their shoulders away from the overpriced coffee giant in the wake of a weakening economy and competitors pushing premium (yet more affordable) wakey wakey.

Well, when you finally get to see those baristas, they'll have a new reason to smile thanks to the latest court ruling ordering Starbucks to pay $106 million to baristas who say their tips were unfairly shared with their supervisors.

Ouch, Starbucks. They're appealing, of course.
